Auntie M! Auntie M!

I would actually prefer a blizzard to the weather we have had all day and are having now! It sounds like a Nor-easter because IT IS A NOR’ EASTER! Cold, rain.. and the gust almost blew the coffee out of my mug on the way out tonight.

OK… time out. I just heard Simon in the other room sneeze about 10 times in a row. Got to put Harley away so I can check on him… later.

Wilson is so funny!

This afternoon I went over after lunch to play “musical cats” when I heard the sander working on your deck. It sounded very loud and annoying and I suspected that Wilson Anne would not want to come outside.

When I went into the house, Wilson did not come to the door to greet me like she usually does, so I started looking around the house for her. I couldn’t find her anywhere and, of course, calling her name doesn’t do ANYTHING! Then I remembered, Sharon, about you telling me how you carefully wrapped the clean pillows on the bed in a sheet so the cats wouldn’t get them all cat hair while you were gone and how Wilson had found “a way in”… so I went back into the bedroom and laid my hand on the sheet that covered the space between the two pillows… and sure ‘nuf… there came back a loud “underwater” purr from Wilson Anne! I laughed out loud! She knows a good hiding place when she finds it! She stayed right in there too, so I quietly shut the bedroom door and let Harley out of the office for a while.

The cats and I hope they are going to be done with the deck soon… it’s been a long week already.

Poor Harley

He was just getting comfortable sitting in the chair next to me when Simon and Wilson came to the door. It’s dark and starting to get a little cold so I put Harley in the office and quickly shut the door and the mewing begins. I hope someone adopts him soon. I feel so bad for him… Wilson Anne just took his spot next to me. She has been so affectionate lately… must me she’s maturing…. or getting used to me. Think I’ll look back on my hard drive later and find the FIRST Pet Brief I did about Quacker’s Cats. Stay tuned….

Great weather for cats

I’ve been going over very early (6:30 ish) to let Simon and Wilson outside since the weather has been so nice in the mornings. It’s brisk, but no frost yet and Wilson comes back within a decent amount of time to eat breakfast. Harley begs to come out of the office after I put him in… he just loves to be with me in the house. He plays with me and by himself. I love when he jumps straight up in the air over his mouse. I think he plays by himself in the office too… which might be why the lamp was tipped over yesterday morning. I unplugged it since it is kind-of broken now.

End of another peaceful day…

The game of musical cats for the day has come to an end. Harley is in his room, Wilson Anne eating her supper and Simon just curled up next to me on the chair (inside the laptop carrier of course). We did it! Yay! I hope tomorrow’s weather is as nice so the elders can lounge outside in the sun while terror-on-four-paws (did I say that?) releases his furor on the toys… and such. But you’re right, Sharon, the sweet little mew from under the door is a bit of a heart-breaker. I know Harley has a person out there for him somewhere… their love will draw them together.
